Community Singing!

Community Singing with Georgia and Susan!

Saturday 7 December 2-4pm, Downer Community Centre - cost: FREE!

Come and join Georgia, Susan and the Child Players family for a wonderful afternoon of singing, celebration and community!

Community Singing is for EVERYONE, no matter your age or level of experience. It is about getting together to share the joys and benefits of singing as a community. It is not a choir, performance or rehearsal - the goal is simply to share singing with others, as we humans have been doing for thousands of years as a means of social connection. Facilitated by Dr Georgia Pike-Rowney and Dr Susan West of the Music Engagement Program, you will be provided with everything you need on the day. We will be singing some well-known songs plus some other material that will be new to you, chosen and arranged by Georgia and Susan specifically for multi-ability, multi-skilled and intergenerational singers. Georgia and Susan will also show us how easy part-singing can be!

We would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the end of the year, so please bring a plate to share with others after the singing.

Singing: 2-3.15pm

Afternoon tea: 3.15-4pm

Please register your attendance, (here: Community Singing December 2025 - Google Forms) and bring family and friends. Community Singing is a collaboration between Child Players ACT and the Music Engagement Program.
